Staying On Offense Against Terrorism

It seems every month, events occur which remind us we face a dedicated, murderous swarm of fanatics whose goal is to kill civilians, harm our economy, and destroy America. We cannot ever relent in our efforts to kill or capture these terrorists.

Just as we saw in Iraq, we need to support our Generals in their plans to target and eliminate insurgent operations in Afghanistan.

We also need to remain vigilant in supporting our Homeland Security. As your Representative, I will continue to work to ensure that our intelligence services, border agents, Coast Guard, and transportation security are given the tools and resources they need to prevent attacks from occurring on our soil.

Our Veterans Are a National Treasure – My father’s service in the Air Force instilled in me a deep sense of gratitude and debt owed to those who protect this nation. In addition, many of the men and women that I stood alongside in Texas A&M’s Corps of Cadets went on to serve our country following our graduation. These folks are true national treasures, and we should honor their dedication to America by ensuring we spare no expense in their care when they are wounded or injured and after they retire from service to our country.

Gina and I are blessed to have the means to help those who have been injured or the families of those that have been lost in the War on Terror. Contributing to organizations and institutions which help provide therapy, training, and counseling to our veterans and their families is the least we can do to honor and thank them for their sacrifice.
